A study in practical nostalgia, travelling back to the early 1980's with a fistful of cash, to buy all the stuff I couldn't afford on a paperboys salary.
A flying post today, running late.Here's a nasty critter commonly found lurking in a midden heap, the Otyugh, one of the archetypal D and D monsters.
This one is from Grenadier, and matches the artwork in the Monster Manual closely. There might be a brief interlude from D and D monsters as I try and press on with Oldhammer stuff, but we'll see.
He's sort of fun, nice paint job. I do feel even I could sculpt him though. I have the other world one but then I guess we're talking 30 years difference.
Otherworld make some great figures, but to me they are not really old school and lack that sort of whimsical charm early figures have. They also demand a better paintjob than I can manage!!
